  • Head of Medical Affairs - Specialty Therapy Area, GSK
    We now have a newly created role responsible for medical governance, relationship-building and strategic clinical input for the GSK Australia Specialty Therapy portfolio. This is a key role within the Medical team and includes leading a small team of four within Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance for the Specialty Therapy Area.   • Medical Manager – Cardiovascular / Metabolic, sanofi-aventis
    Work collaboratively with the brand team and lead medical marketing for your designated therapeutic area. Varied role including brand strategy, clinical programs, submissions, pre-launch, business development, and lifecycle management. As a member of our Medical Affairs team you will play a key role in the brand team providing specialist medico-marketing expertise in your designated therapeutic area to improve patient outcomes and drive commercial growth across our marketed brands in an ethical, innovative and collaborative manner. Mr Steven Crowley, S&J Crowley Consulting Pty Ltd
Topic: PBAC - What is the future? In his presentation, Steve would share his thoughts on the PBAC's future direction with regards to clinical trial design for health outcomes. Steve would also address issues of observational trials vs. RCTs, comparison to placebo vs. comparison to the “gold standard” and importance of evidence for a drug seeking reimbursement. This will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion. It promises to be a very interesting talk, so register now!
